I love these ideas, especially the one about exploring nonfiction works by fiction authors. I recently read Framed by John Grisham after enjoying his fiction books. I also love to point people to narrative nonfiction books like Erik Larsons books because they almost read like fiction.
Thank you for your comment, Chelsey, and for your recommendations! I have heard only good things about Erik Larson's books but have yet to read one - do you have a favorite of his? I've got both him and Patrick Radden Keefe on my to-read list this year!
I think my favorite is Dead Wake, but I also loved Devil in the White City. I think I’ve read almost all his books, though, and you can’t go wrong with any of them. I’ve read Say Nothing and it was incredible! I shared on my substack last week my top nonfiction books of last year, as well as my top 10 overall in another post (which includes nonfiction) if you’re interested!

Thanks so much for this info! I will head over to your Substack and check out your lists, too - so fun to chat about books!
Agreed. I didn’t come to substack for book talk but it has been a pleasant surprise!
